ARE YOU READY? IT'S ALMOST TIME TO START OUR 2020-2021 RODEO SEASON! NEW VENUE FOR OUR 1ST RODEO,AND OUR LEGACY SERIES RODEO WILL BE IN THE SPRING AND COINCIDE WITH OUR BORDER BASH WITH KANSAS AND WILL HAVE $10,000 ADDED AND THE ALL-AROUND GIRL AND BOY WILL RECEIVE GIST BUCKLES.
NATIONALS ONLINE MEMBERSHIP WILL ALSO CONTAIN OUR STATE MEMBERSHIP. WE WILL BE GETTING DIRECTIONS POSTED SOON.

Welcome to the new rodeo season!
For the 2020-2021 Season, we will be using the NHSRA online membership process.
You will do state and national membership forms on the national site as well as you proof of enrollment and W-9. Nationals will open up membership on August 1st.
You will still print off your entry forms on this website under the EXTRAS tabs and FORMS.

You will be able to upload the completed documents to your membership portal by scanning and uploading or simply taking a picture with your phone to upload. This process will make it easy for you to find your documents and there will be no hassle of mailing forms or worrying about lost packets.
You will not be able to enter a rodeo until ALL documents are completed and uploaded correctly to the site.

EVENT DIRECTORS- ITS TIME FOR YOU TO START THINKING ABOUT GETTING MORE INVOLVED WITH OUR ASSOCIATION.
STUDENT EVENT DIRECTORS WILL BE ELECTED AT THE FIRST RODEO AND THERE WILL BE NEW ACTIVITIES FOR THEM THIS YEAR AND EACH DIRECTOR WILL RECEIVE AN EVENT DIRECTOR VEST TO WEAR AT EACH RODEO. SO THINK ABOUT WHAT EVENT YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE THE STUDENT DIRECTOR. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BEING AT YOUR EVENT ON TIME, KNOWING THE RULES OF THE EVENT AND OBSERVING THAT THEY ARE FOLLOWED, OBTAINING CLIPBOARD FROM PREVIOUS EVENT DIRECTOR AND THEN WHEN THE EVENT IS OVER BRINGING TIME SHEETS FROM ADULT EVENT DIRECTOR AND THE ANNOUNCERS STAND TO THE OFFICE IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE EVENT.

New Ground Rule Implemented by NHSRA
Effective Spring 2020
1. All disputed calls must be settled in the arena at the end of the event.
2. Contestant will be disqualified for vaping, marijuana and tobacco while on
rodeo grounds.
3. Steer Wrestling- Dogger is entitled to only one jump. A jump will be considered
to have taken place if the steer wrestler has dismounted is horse.
4. Goat tyers maintain forward motion unless a side gate is used and then 1 pivot.
5. Chute Dogging- The dogger must keep right hand in front of or behind shoulder
until the steer's nose crosses the score line AND right arm can NOT be under the
steer's neck at any time until the steer crosses the score line.
6. Bareback and Saddlebronc- Rein can NOT be wrapped around hand or through
fingers.
7. Ribbon Roping- Runner can stand anywhere they choose in the arena on the opposite
side of the 30 ft finish line from the roping box.
8. Jerk down rule is now a +10 penalty.
9. Breakaway ropers MUST have a solid colored flag. NO patterned or printed
flags are permitted.
